Did Frank Warren withdraw Zolani Tete in order to keep a belt away from DAZN/Hearn?

Donaire got a nice stay busy fight for Inoue. I think Nonito merits the right to advance to Inoue. Inoue better be ready for Nonito’s power imo. I see Inoue doing some nice schooling but he don’t crack as hard as Rigo or prime Walters. Though Father Time has caught up to Nonito. Donaire has a punchers chance with a counter hook imo.

The only reason I bring up some doubt is because of the relationship between Warren, Arum, and the WBO. And the rivalry for customers between ESPN+ and DAZN.

      The injury could be legit.
DAZN isn’t worried about all-time-great-famous Tete defending his WBO on ESPN.

No i don't think thats the cause Donaire or Inoue haven't signed exclusive deals with DAZN and why would frank have his guy enter the tournament in the first place

Warren had his guy enter the tournament BEFORE he and Top Rank entered into their partnership.

Now he has skin in the game when it comes to helping provide content for ESPN+.

As I said, there's no hard evidence that Tete isn't really injured. But this is just a thought that occurred to me. Knowing the particular promoters we are dealing with.

Tete still needs fights though, right?

Of course. They just won't be on the streaming platform of Arum's rival anymore.

That's true. Doesn't mean he faked an injury though.

It's very coincidental. Let's just say that.

Thats not a good look. You might be onto something.

First Fury & now Tete had deals with opposing TR platforms & now they are both fighting next on ESPN+ & both are with Warren who recently aligned with Bob on ESPN.

Wonder what Tete was getting for Donaire vs what he's getting for Burnett? Wonder what sorta piece of the pie Warren was getting before with the WBSS & now with Bob?

Still a bit of a jump to think Tete faked an injury, but I'm a lil more interested to hear what the WBSS seen or didn't see as far as injury details/facts.
