According to Forbes DAZN has already exceeded 4M subscribers

The company won’t reveal global totals, but Forbes estimates they exceed 4 million, well ahead of the 2 million-plus Walt Disney reported last month for ESPN+.

Guess this guy was telling the truth ESPN reporting this fight generated over 48M in revenue from subscriptions.

So he didn't know what he was talking about. They were nowhere near 1 million subs when he said that. And they still aren't at 1 mil with the Canelo fight.
