GGG was a defining win for canelo. I think 20 years from now both canelo and ggg will be considered legends for the close fights they had with one another similar to marquez and manny. It may not seem like it now but it will. People will also look back at ggg and remember at 37 this guy competed on the p4p level with guys 10 years younger than him. Not even many all time greats can say that.

Floyd gave Canelo his first boxing artistry lesson at the same age when GGG was going life and death against an older, semi-worn out Canelo. Canelo is a boxing vet.

Canelo struggled mightily with GGG twice. Not a good win. Was it dominant? No. Career defining? Not at all.

How did it lose luster when both guys destroyed their opponents?
Bud/Spence is up their with Wilder/AJ and Loma/Davis, Lopez, Garcia.
