Comments Thread For: Robert Easter-Rances Barthelemy Weigh-In Results From Vegas

LAS VEGAS Robert Easter Jr. somehow continued to make the lightweight limit pretty easily Friday. The 5-feet-11 Easter, unusually tall for the 135-pound division, stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission's scale at 133 pounds for his fight Saturday night against Rances Barthelemy. The Cuban-born Barthelemy officially weighed 135 pounds.

Use what you learned Bunny. No disgrace in losing if you learn something. Easter never broke out in tears, and he didn't start moaning and complaining. He has anger and vengeance burned into his hide. Sometimes a loss is a good thing.

Like we've been seeing a lot of good fights. It can be a great matchup too.

Agree. Seems like a high risk for a boring fight. Both these guys act like they barely know the goal is to win the round to win the fight.

The over 10.5rds bet seems like a great bet too. Only pays @ 30%ish, but its a pretty solid fight to expect to go to a decision.

If Easter could learn to control his distance and quit falling in after throwing back hand he could be a pretty exciting fighter.Watch the Commey fight, where Comm kept the fight mid-outside and it was REALLY good and showed Easter has some ba lls and had NO PROBLEM trading and punching at same time trying to catch him in between shots.Bathelemy is deff more of a boxer but he likes the outside and that may allow Easter to get his shots off..

I'm looking at evolution, hopefully. Pre Mikey, Easter was a brawler and made his reach ineffective, if not useless. Mike disallowed it, and Bunny was forced outside. He had to jab at Mikey to survive. Surprise! It landed when he needed and he got out of trouble. Throw that at Rances.

I’ve never seen Easter fight, but I wonder how many times you’ve watched Barthelemy. His bouts with Relikh ar not indicative of his style. In fact, I was taken aback at how inactive Rances was in those fights. I know him to be aggressive enough.

Yeah, but no. Easter's confidence is gone... gun shy. And what did I tell you... snoozer.
