  • Comments Thread For: Ortiz, Trainer Angered Over Promoter's Handling of Joshua Talks

Luis Ortiz fully understands the public outrage over his team not managing to secure an deal as a late replacement to face unbeaten, unified heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua. That's because he and those closest to him are just as frustrated, if not even more so.

      Right, who is his promoter?

And they tried to make a power move LIS thinking Hearn would come back with a better offer. But I mean last I checked, Hearn hasn't announced Joshua's opponent yet. So if the manager wants it that badly, why not go back to Hearn and say you will take that 5M offer or whatever it was?

Hearn isn't a punk. He's not going to be held hostage by these clowns looking for retirement money. He can get someone else to fight Joshua for significantly less.

That's where Ruiz steps in. You think he's turning down a 5M deal? Now, even Hearn admitted Ortiz has more value, but it may not be worth all the hassle trying to get a deal done with Ortiz. Shoot, you may be able to get Ruiz for even like 4M.

              I sure hope so.

It sounds like egos are getting in the way and/or Ortiz was promised a rematch with Wilder. Either way, it's Ortiz's career and he needs to take control of it.

If his manager feels this strongly about this, then he needs to go back to Hearn and accept the offer. No opponent has been named yet. It was Ortiz's manager in the first place that made that IG post.

I guess it's time to swallow that pride and beg for that offer back lol.
