Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Golovkin Using Sanchez as Excuse for Loss To Canelo!

Gennady Golovkin dropped a bombshell Wednesday when he announced that he was parting from longtime trainer Abel Sanchez. Oscar De La Hoya believes Golovkin is using Sanchez as the scapegoat for his first career loss that came against De La Hoya's fighter, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

      This is the real GGG.

A diva, a greedy man but the worst is that he is a fighter that never took risks in a soft career.

He only fought with two good names in his entire career

(he reffused 10 milion dolars to fight before against Álvarez, he wanted more money thats).

He’s right about golovkin. He has no ability or desire to turn it up a notch, to go into higher gear and press harder. Canelo did it in the second fight, and golovkin was again content to jab jab jab as if he really thinks he can win on points doing that rather than fighting the way Leonard fought when he realised he could not outbox hearns

Oscar is the last person who can talk about dropping trainers. It really isn't a big deal it happens all the time who cares?

De La Hoya is talking crap here, as usual. GGG and Abel parted ways because of a financial disagreement. It had nothing whatsoever to do with what happened in his last fight.

He was signed up to fight Pirog but Pirog pulled out and retired. Golovkins not much different to most of the guys out there. In general its about low risk medium reward.
