I have a feeling Pacquiao will retire if he defeats Thurman.

Beating Thurman, and immediately retiring afterward, would be the ultimate payback against Haymon for not making the Mayweather rematch happen. Right now, Haymon's probably excited about the winner of Pacquiao-Thurman fighting the winner of Spence-Porter.
we dont even know if that was part on the deal! lol.. im a pac fan but honestly, i dont think floyd ever promised pac a rematch or anything. manny went with Al and PBC in hopes that maybe he'll get a rematch with floyd and manny also went this route because PBC at the moment has more fighters for pac to fight that pac can actually make some good money off of, instead of fighting guys like jesse vargas, jeff horn, etc.

I am fine with whatever Manny does, he can do as he pleases, but how would that be a backhand to Haymon?? he wouldnt have to pay Manny the money that would be due

After Manny beat Mattysse, he ran into Mayweather in a concert in Tokyo and said, "I have the belt." To which Mayweather responded, "I'll take that belt from you."

Then Mayweather said he was in Tokyo because he wanted a New Year's Eve fight in Japan before the Pacquiao rematch.

But after the Tenshin fight, Mayweather went to the locker room and said he was done and there would be no Pacquiao rematch.

Pac has to step on the accelerator. Age drains your tank
. He has a good chance of whipping Thurman IF its a short fight but Thurman is smart. He DOESNT want to engage early. He’ll try to drown him in later rounds
