One thing to consider: How do we know GGG wasn't OVERPAYING Abel in the 1st place ? I'm not saying that was definitely the case but you have to at least consider it.

Abel never complained about what he was making before. Which means he was happy with what he was getting. He was being paid on a percentage. That's fine and dandy when G was making 1 and 2 million purses but when G made bank in those Canelo fights Abel did too.
The fact that he keeps mentioning G's 100million deal seems to show that he expected to get paid even more that what he was making.

Trainers get paid their worth. Not based on what the fighter is making. At the end if the day the fighter is the one risking his health & life & the trainer works for them

Abel was on a 10% cut before, so he would have earned himself around $6million for GGG's 2 fights with Canelo.

He was more than just a trainer in GGG's early years in the US, acting as his publicist and mouth piece in the media.

But GGG doesn't need a publicist and mouth piece any more, and Abel has already been been well rewarded for the hard work he put in.

I wish he'd bitten his tongue and cooled down before talking to the media about it. This is a sad way to end one of the closest and most successful partnerships in recent boxing history.

It's amazing how ****** some people are on here kafkod lol. Like we shouldn't have to explain that a smaller percentage of a bigger pie is often times a pay increase, as it is here, and not a pay cut.

Almost all of the dumb people on here hate on GGG at every opportunity, often times looking completely ridiculous in doing so.

The people who support GGG (at times) or are even neutral on him are to a man twice as smart as the people who hate on GGG. That's been my honest observation.

I have still yet to read a coherent rational argument against GGG from anyone on this site. They all sound mentally deficient and overly emotional.

The only group at this forum who rival the GGG hate trolls for bias, hypocrisy, and sheer mind numbing ******ity are the Wilder/PBC fanboys, and I've noticed a big overlap between those 2 groups of idiots.

Not true in the case of GGG, he kept on telling him to go to the body like we practice, GGG either refuse or was to scared to follow Abel's counsel, (I'm inclined for the later) At this point if he is not willing to listen or follow the trainers instructions is best to part ways, Just don't offer a 4/5ths pay cut, be honest and upfront and say I don't need you anymore.

Like I said y'all have 0 credibility because to you guys everything GGG does is bad, and anyone against him is great and does nothing wrong. He's clearly an ATG at MW, one of the premier divisions in boxing history. The only two guys who I think would have a legit chance against him at MW are RJJ and McClellan (look him up, I know you have no idea who he is lol). And neither of those guys are part of 'my tribe.'

He's been in there with a lot of really good fighters and smashed all of them, hardly losing a round. He has the highest number of good wins in this calendar decade (15-18 by anyone's count). He clearly decisioned and beat 2 really good/great fighters in Canelo and Jacobs. He's never been hurt or beaten up, or really beaten badly at any moment, in any fight he's ever been in. Never dropped etc.

His jab is one of the best weapons in boxing history, and with that jab and his work rate, it is very hard to win clear rounds against GGG. He is always scoring and using the jab and even when an opponent has some success, GGG still outlands his guy in almost every round.

Combine that with his standout amateur career, just a great great career, and he has cemented himself as an ATG for anyone who is keeping it real.

I'm sorry if it hurts your feelings man but I've never seen people so butthurt over a fighter before lol. You guys are just not very smart and not intellectually honest, I hate to say it, but it's true.

Good advice my friend...sometimes it is hard to bite my tongue but it is almost always a waste of time anyway. You can clearly point out to them where they are wrong, and they still deny it/shift the story to something else lol.

It's pretty obvious to me at this point that a lot of the hatred towards GGG (and now surprisingly Loma) is due to 'Floyd' fans taking any criticism of Floyd (and some of their other favorites) as blasphemy and now they just want to hate on the 'other guys' as revenge, even when their hatred and over-the-top opinions make zero sense lol.

If Canelo legitimately beats GGG in the 3rd fight I will surely acknowledge that and give him credit. But thus far GGG hasn't lost in the ring and hasn't really come close. His closest fight (before the stoppage) was Ouma anyway.

I can’t say that’s true because so far you’ve come to defend him in every situation. Catchweights, weightbullying, dropping titles, ducking fighters and lying about just about everything. No matter what you defend the things you probably agreed with Golovkin hating on.
