I see that nuance is a challenge for some on this site. I did not say that DAZN has recouped the money they paid Canelo. I don't know if they have or have not. I do think that they would have paid hundreds of millions to get as much publicity as they are currently generating with Canelo. As I said The publicity this generated has helped them immensely in opening up American and Latin American markets not only in boxing but in other sports for the future development of their enterprise. Boxing for them is only a small part of the enterprise.

"DAZN offers more than 8,000 sport events a year,[37] ranging from major to minor competitions including the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, National Basketball Association, National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, Formula One, and Bellator MMA. DAZN is the host broadcaster of Japan's J.League, broadcasting every game of the season across all three divisions."

Again, the publicity gained from signing Canelo gives them credibility in the Americas across a wide range of sports.

Incidentally, increasing prices usually accompany a strengthening financial posture.

Facts, everyone is dodging Andrade because they know he's in his own league. Canelo and Triple G don't want it whatsoever, fighting straight bums. In the end Andrade will be triumphant!

I find it hard to believe they are paying Canelo $30 million per fight and they have no say who he will fight...and likewise that they are paying GGG $100 million for 6 fights and that he can fight whoever he wants too.

But hey if that's the case then it doesn't really matter if Canelo 'blesses' GGG with another payday anyway. GGG will get paid with or without Canelo now. I think this is just posturing from Canelo but I expect to see GGG/Canelo 3 in September.

Fighters will talk about fighting Andrade but won't unless forced to, they all know him from the amateurs and they know his pedigree.
So Now that Charlo looked horrible vs Matt Korobov, now Andrade is the new monster? The same Andrade that pull out of a fight with Charlo, and ducked Lara? that same Andrade? OK!

Khan and JCC Jr. are good draws. Fielding was at a new weight class.

              Rolls is indescribably bad.

I'm not even sure if Vanes is WORSE than Rolls...and that's saying a LOT.

Incidentally, it is not about semantics, it is about federal law. A quick way to distinguish, with appropriate caveats, is to determine if DAZN withholds taxes and contributes to social security retirement directly for Canelo or if Canelo is on pays the taxes himself from the winnings. I think you will find that the feds will get their money directly from Canelo. I do agree with your last point. On the flip side, while DAZN cannot mandate that Canelo fight Golovkin, Canelo cannot fight for any other streaming service or broadcast medium unless he reaches a buyout or another type of accommodation with DAZN.
you referred to Canelo as an independent contractor which he is not. The closest to that was Floyd at the end of his career where he chose himself who to fight and what promotional companies would be involved. Canelo is not in that position. He is under contract to Dazn and they will dictate his career more than he does.

completely off base from the topic was. The topic was whether ggg earned the right to fight Canelo again.. Which he has based on losing a close disputable decision to him, his track record and past ppv success vs Canelo. Ggg is a better draw for Canelo than what khan or Chavez Jr ever were. So not quite sure what you're babbling about in your post.

don't try to modify your stance now that you've been proven wrong. I Said that they didn't give Canelo all of that money to allow him to just turn his back on high grossing fights. Your reply was "they've already recouped their investment". No they haven't. They also aren't upping their prices and changing the subscription from monthly to annual because they're operating from a strengthening financial posture, it's because they're noticing financial losses from their original plan and are trying to make adjustments to offset those losses.
