GGG made the right decision. High Altitude Training Does Not Age Well.

high altitude Fighters get slower and slower. Name a single fighter that trains at high altitude that has aged well. High altitude works great if you are already fast and you're young. However once you age you're to amplify your slowness.

Foreman, HOpkins, Mayweather, Pac all train at sea level.

The people who train at high altitude like Oscar and Mosely don't age well due to how much it slows them down.

plus mexican style was only going to get ggg KOED on a canelo rematch... abel cant really offer much more than that...

GGG training at sea level at his age will give him better reflexes and speed.

He beat Canelo either way but he has visibly slowed with this high altitude non-sense.

it's not a good training method into your 30's.

No, I thought Erik Morales trained at high altitudes. Don't know about Marquez.

Lol, I forgot that you had this big obsession with this. Well, you'll get your chance to say "told you so" soon enough.

Personally, I think the issue was that Sanchez created 1-dimensional fighters and he lacked quick thinking as a coach. He was never able to give advice on how to adapt or turn a fight around.

Golovkin still had better defense than Canelo imo. You can still see his skill level with his punch selection and defensive maneuvers.

the problem is entirely speed. If he was just 1/100 faster. Training at sea level will help him get some of that speed back.

High altitude fighters lose speed. This is a scientific fact.

That is all Abel's detrimental coaching. He made GGG into mexican style and marketed it that way.

Canelo was juiced with ROCKET FUEL the day he rematched GGG. He was caught on PED's.

Fortunately, GGG had plan B. He beat Canelo by boxing Larry Holmes style. Backfoot and jabs. Still won that damn fight.

                    He's not 1 dimensional.
