Sanchez completely shyt on GGG and threw him under the bus after the canelo fight telling the world he didn't think GGG won and that he told GGG to stop backing up and fight but GGG just didn't listen. So you low ball him to get him to quit without looking bad firing him. But Sanchez trashes GGG on the way out the door. Who wants to hire a trainer who throws his fighters under the bus and says these things?

Even if you think your guy lost you at least lie to the media and back up whatever excuses he and his promoter are making lol

Once fighters start earning 8-digit paydays they often adjust the percentage paid to trainers. So instead of the standard 10%, they agree upon a more modest cut. Freddie took less than 10% from Manny for his biggest fights.

I saw how Sanchez talked crap about his fighter post-Canelo II. Said he wanted Golivkin to “fight”, but instead he “boxed.”

True enough, I guess, except I think Canelo would have won by a wider margin if Golovkin really fought “Mexican style.”

But the trainer should have kept his gigantic mouth shut about his boy. It’s not honorable.

Too much mouth from Abel all day.

Its hard to make a judgement without knowing the figures, but I def am of the opinion that fighters shouldn't be held to the same 10% that they may pay early in their career. They have to pay out enough of their money as it is.

I think there is a fair compromise to be made in those situations and it looks like they couldn't agree.

Abel and the summit are among the most expensive places to train. There was a sechback video just last week where some trainer was talking about it.

It is not like GGG was suffering from low paydays though. Money changes people and not for the better.

It is funny that as all these guys make more money they all do stuff that all big earners do. Hopefully this will make people change their opinions.

Abel wanted a piece of that 100 million pie.

To be fair with the way he has chased this Canelo fight, its obvious its only about the money at this point. Even if Jacobs puts him to sleep he insinuated he wanted to fight him.

Like I said before, If the right guy had won those two fights we would have had Canelo go into obscurity and we would have had a good chance of seeing good fights being made.
