Wow. Now this is some boxing news.

Thats pretty cold blooded to offer the guy you been with for nearly a decade 1/5 what he's been making with you. Assuming Abel is being straight up of course.

Obviously when you do something like that you know the answer you're gonna get.

That said I get it. Abel sold his ass down the river in that 2nd Canelo fight & turncoated on GGG post fight. Win or lose we are in this together & in a close competitive fight where most fans had GGG winning you go with the team & say "we wuz robbed" regardless if you believe it or not. Thats rule 1 team, brother, my homie type sh^t. In private I'll say whats what to you, but in public we are a united f#cking front all for one, one for all, gang gang.

And I also think Abel can't get him the W over Canelo that is what GGG wants more than anything else for his legacy & bottom line in this game & for his life. I don't like how GGG went about it, but he needs fresh blood in his corner.

Randomly I don't hate the idea of Freddie getting the gig. Freddie is one of the premier offensive trainers & GGG needs to be a offensive juggernaut to beat Canelo & he needs to destroy Canelo's body which is something inexplicably Abel never had him do virtual ever towards that end in either fight.

True enough, I guess, except I think Canelo would have won by a wider margin if Golovkin really fought “Mexican style.”

But the trainer should have kept his gigantic mouth shut about his boy. It’s not honorable.

Too much mouth from Abel all day.
100% & I just went on a long tirade about this myself.

I'd fired Abel sooner for that sh^t honestly. I wonder what there relationship has been like in the last 7ish months.

I think Abel was probably up in his feelings with those remarks cuz GGG wasn't listening to him & he was more mad at GGG then legit though GGG lost cuz the fight was still close enough to go either way & the consensus was GGG deserved it. Hell man I remember this cat I was talking to at the closed circuit who knew more about boxing then the average cat I'll randomly talk boxing with looked f#cked up when Canelo got the nod he was so surprised, shocked & kinda f#cking angry bout it lol.

I am not buying it when Abel says he was offered "one fifth". I'd guess what's between the lines is that the DAZN contract guarantees a certain $, and Golovkin decreased the % to match what Sanchez was getting before, or somewhere in the same area. This isn't about hard $$, it's about percentages.

In any case, it's a shame that Sanchez went on such an offensive so quickly. It never works out well for either party.

Not sure about the one fifth bullchit
But G probably did low ball him not to fire him , since they had this lengthy relationship
I think G is a bit of an ass but not one fifth ass lol
Imo , it should of come a long ago
Personally think Abel is a bit pos and yeah wasn’t bringing much to G’s arsenal
Not the first time we see this and it won’t be the last either
He needs to get someone defensive , to help not ge5 hit so fughin much , and I think that will bring back his offense

GGG with all of these late in life changes. Takes on tough opponents, becomes a business man and then splits with the guy who brought him up.
