I think the Thurman-Pacquaio-Spence-Porter fights will more than likely mean that Crawford will only be entertained for them by 2021 once they have three belts. You've got to factor in Thurman is pretty fragile and not active so the earliest he'd fight Spence (presuming he beats Porter) would be summer 2020 and maybe a mandatory of Danny Garcia fight has to be fulfilled so I think Crawford's not going to get Spence until 2021 and that still depends on an improvement of relations and the desire from Spence or Thurman (or whoever is the top dog out of the PBC) to face Crawford.

Until then? His options aren't that bad. Ramirez is improving and has a good following. That fight can be big on the West Coast. Maybe Ramirez can fight Hooker and build himself. Then there's the winner of the WBSS (or if it's a good final both guys) which is likely to be Taylor or Prograis. All good fighters, big for that weight and their credibility will probably be stronger than Garcia or Porter by the year's end. Those can grow into strong options and reasonable size fights. Stuff like Brook, Vargas isn't ideal but it's not horrible and maybe he can entice Danny Garcia if Garcia is struggling to get in with Spence or Thurman.

The hope (should be for all boxing fans but sadly I get the vibe many want to miss out on this fight) is that Crawford and Spence gets so big by the time they are the only two champions that the fight has to happen and sensible heads at PBC will see that and a deal can be worked out. Spring 2021.

Ellerbe came out saying Spence next fight will not be Crawford. They dont want to do business with top rank.

Same with Loma vs Tank.

Ellerbe dismisses those fights every time someone asks him about it.
