Tete would have given him a horrible beating before KO'ing him cold. Donaire doesn't have much left at this point. Tete is prime and big for the weight. I see no way for Donaire to get inside and go to work. I see this as saved brain cells for him.Comment

I know but a lot of ****** people on this site was being hateful and given Inuoe no credit for what the did and only if he beat Rodriguez and Tete in this tournament to give him his props.
If Tete isn't in the tournament 2 of the top 3 fighters isn't in it. Nery and Tete.Comment

Great newsSOURCES: Nonito Donaire will fight Stephon Young in the new @WBSuperSeries semifinal Saturday with Zolani Tete sidelined by a shoulder injury. The winner will move on to the finals to face the victor between Naoya Inoue-Emanuel Rodriguez set for May 18.

Before the last fight against Burnett I could have agreed with at least a part of what you say. But the few rounds against Burnett showed a rejuvenated Donaire, much more incisive and quick, less sloppy, probably closer to his best than in the last years when he fought heavier.
On the other hand, Tete's fame has been nourished by a couple of impressive KO wins. Against all-time greats such as Paul Butler and Siboniso Gonya. Other than this, and the Omar Narvaez stinker, please tell me who has Tete beaten in order to become the monster everybody says he is.
And I'm not even taking into account his losses against Mthalane, Rosas and Sosa, conveniently forgotten by the Tete hype machine.
Having said that, of course everything can happen in the ring, so a Tete win against Donaire is not impossible. But - before the fight was called off - I was putting my money on Nonito at 4.33.Last edited by Tatabanya; 04-25-2019, 03:43 AM.Comment
