dude grow up, if it was a flash knockdown he would have jumped up like he did in the Trinindad fight... he was very hurt and had the fight not been stopped he could have been seriously hurt.

Excellent post!!!!! It's time for the Vargas fans to wake up and realize that he was an average fighter at best. Somebody mentioned that this fight was not as bas as the Trinidad and De La Hoya fight. That's up for debate but I can tell you that Vargas was never punked in the Trinidad and De La Hoya fight the way he was punked with Mosley tonight. Mosley dominated him from start to finish. He gave Trinidad a good fight and put pressure on De La Hoya on that fight despite those losses. He was BEAT DOWN tonight.

Hey what can I say? Vargas was always my favorite fighter as I followed his career since he came out of the olympics with David Reid. He has clearly faded as a fighter and along with the back problems clearly not the same guy you saw fight Trinidad. Too many wars at a young age. With that said...Props to Mosely who fought his fight tonight. Even a faded Vargas though can sell out the MGM grand...that just shows his impact on boxing and the 9000 plus fans who were there to cheer him on.

Pos ferocity, flash knockdown is when someone gets up almost immidietly after being knocked down. actually i thought referee gave vargas bit too much time to recover. he could easily have been counted out by some other referee. and it wasn't a premature stoppage u moron, vargas's legs had gone and he wasnt throwing anything back. Im judgeing on the video clip Dorian uploaded and what i saw was a flash knockdown, he got caught, tried getting up to early, then the ref stopped it. Thats how i seen it, you can complain about my view but thats what the video shows.
