There's no country in the world called America. Look at a map. The official name is the United States of America. No amount of common usage justifies ignorance.

America isn't a continent. North America and South America are continents.

Far out this is a dumb conversation. Yanks who don't understand their own country.

The Americas comprises North and South America.

America is more than just common usage, though that would be enough. It's the United States of America. You know what "of" means?

If you want a clue as to why referring to the USA as the United States is less correct than referring to it as America then tell me the correct name for Mexico.

Then we can move onto the actual differences between the United Kingdom and Great Britain.

Fish fingers are nice but do they have to be the really cheap ones that are a pound for 40? Can't we just go to the local chippy for a 50p cone of chips?
I basically agree with your stance on Ortiz but the more this thread goes on the bigger fool you're making of yourself. You've been rightly picked up on your 'hood comment and you were rightly picked up on the council house one too. Why double down? Just admit they were two cheap shots and get back to discussing the boxing.

The contempt you show to others who may not have your advantages says a lot more about you than it does them. Judge people by their actions, not the logos on their clothes or the cost of their groceries.

You have no point here. America is a continent, not a country. If you don't know that, no need for discussion.

I don't think anyone should defend Ortiz, for me its irrelevant whether he was lowballed or not. This is a massive opportunity, he isn't fighting for free. I know he would get paid handsomely too. So no need to make excuses with the "Lowball" offer, you cannot be an undercard fighter, claim you would fight for free then turn around and claim you have been "Lowballed" everything about it doesn't add up.

You got humiliated by being wrong

                      Accept it and move on

Maybe your education was lacking as you suggested to others despite being wrong

North and South America are continents

                      America is not

                      Deal with it

The above is a fact, in England and USA, they go by the 7 continents model. You are wrong, admit it and move on instead of confirming to everyone you are an idiot
