Probably taking more punishment there too. They sparred hard, probably take years off your career. Don't a lot of boxers say that though? Who actually retires at 30 in Boxing anymore. He just $5m minimum for this fight. You think he's going to continue to turn down million dollar pay days. Khan is still a big name but people have realised he's not the top dog anymore.

He can still fight people like Broner and make good money.

He had two of his best performances with Virgil, vs Collazo and Alexander. He looked his best physically and performance-wise in those fights.

Sparred Hard?

Seems like you don't know a lot about boxing. He would have beat Collazo and Alexander no matter who his trainer was. His best wins are debatable, he looked just as good as he did in those fights vs Peterson, Paulie, and Judah

He also suffered his worst losses under Virgil, looked tired vs Canelo and he didn't look good against Algeri. Even in his loss to Garcia he never appeared tired after a few rounds with Roach.

You have to have good to great sparring to improve your skills and conditioning period. Mayweather was sparring young guys, the likes of Spence, Peterson, Omar Henry (rip) well into his 30's So there's no such thing as sparring hard, you either have great sparring or you don't.

A Mere Con's name recognition won't get him far now here in the USA after quitting. His stock wen't waay down. Even Broner never quit or looked for a way out of a fight.

Khan still has something left in the tank against lower tier.....

Khan could be a stepping stone fighter at this point however wouldn't put him in against the elite fighters of the division. He can be a gate keeper going forward and make good money while taking less risk. Not sure if his pride would allow that but for his health sake I hope he goes that route.
