She fine as hell but I've only seen her fight once. Her name will be poppin when she signs to fight Katie Taylor. -
I was just gonna say isn't she more into MMA now. It sounds like in the US the money for fighting for women is in MMA.
If Shields wasn't in the dead zone of weight divisions I'd say she should start learning some BJJ & wrestling.
Womens fighting isn't deep like even lower weight mens divisions which aren't deep either compared to the middle & bigger weight divisions with 1,000+ active fighters at all times. But above 135 womens fighting is a joke with its depth. MMA & boxing.
Ronda Rousey had to lose weight to become the name she did at 135 which has some depth, for a womens division. And Cyborg never got her due cuz she was damn near dying trying to make anything below 145 which has no depth. Shields would probably have to kill herself just to get to 145 for womens MMA cuz womens MMA above 145lbs is just freakshow sh^t with no real weight classes in any viable league that I'm aware of.Comment

This why it annoys me so much to see the records and title winning acheivements of female boxers - like Shields unifying her division - being reported and talked about in the media as if they were equivalent to a male boxer doing the same thing.Randomly dorked out on Boxrec & Tapology (my preferred sites for fighter records & overall rankings) to look at the depth in Boxing & MMA in Mens & Womens divisions.
