Even if he recovered from low blow, he might have been 10% less because of the blow, and might not get the second wind he needed for next 6 rounds.
So he quit because of that. He knew taking that punch he was not the same.

Disappointing fight all round honestly, unsatisfying stoppage that doesn't give a genuine sense of closure. Crawford wasn't really tested but didn't really get to show off his talent either. It's obvious that Khan is at the back end of his career, and not only is his talent and athleticism mostly dried up but it appears that his famed headstrong sense of courage might be gone too - he definitely quit and took the easy way out that didn't involve him getting knocked out or embarrassed further when previously he's always toughed it out and either pulled through or went out on his shield. Sure, the punch was low but he got hit on his hip, not square in the nuts. He could have took his five minutes and shook it off. Any modicum of respect he might have had with fans is surely done now too. So yeah, I don't think anyone's gonna be that happy with this result.

Khan" "I have never quit a fight in my life, my understanding was that virgil asked me if the low blow still hurt and I said yes. My intention was to wait it out and continue like always."

... now he puts the blame on Virgil...

With all the boxing gurus on this thread I’m surprised no one has yet pointed out the similarities this fight has to when khan fought Zab Judah. Almost a carbon copy.

He was getting out boxed and beat up he had nothing for Bud, he and Virgil both knew. Virgil was looking to throw in the towel a round before the low blow even happened.

Idk if it was the Canelo fight, the layoff, or a combination of both but Khan looked the worst he's ever looked and there's no where but even further down from here. time to call it a day. Forget the Brook fight at this point
Exactly how I saw it. Khan didn't show anything that suggested he was anywhere near a level where he could compete with Crawford (like he at least competed with Canelo), but I guess that pretty much confirmed what we felt before the fight, just hoping that there was something behind Khan's confident pre-fight chatter.

It felt a bit like 'got the 5 million, lets go home', and by getting out of the fight before taking serious concussive damage, got a feeling the Brook fight happens as its all about paydays for Khan now and cashing in on the name be built up pre 2013.

Not disagreeing that low blows can take something out of you in the slightest, but just doing the math on the 10% less thing and applying it to the 88 low blows Loma took against Salido - surprised Loma didn't just vanish into some sort of time-space continuum.

If it was Lawrence Cole, he would have just given Khan a quick warning about holding the back of the head and let the fight continue. If it was Russell Mora he would have given Khan a count (a la Mares/Agbeko).

I think you will change your tune once you find out Khan has a ruptured testicle. And who can fight like that.

Khan was coming back and Crawfish knew it show he went low. And that was not the first time in the fight. And Crawfish does it all the time. How does boxing let this crustacean get away with this stuff.

Just like when the hornet was getting ready to sting crawfish, they stopped he fight prematurely. What a joke.

I think Khan deserves an immediate rematch. If not, it shows just how corrupt boxing is.

I agree! Give Khan an immediate rematch.

For the one's that didn't know Khan ....Now you do!

I hope you thick one's can now see that you have been behind a liar and quieter all the way through.God bless you all or whoever or what ever but the little I liked about ole glass jaw has been completely blown as now I see him as what he really is ....a complete quieter who's only out to mug people that support him .As Bob Arum said 'there's one born every minute'.

Con got hit on the inner thigh at the top of the leg, we all saw it but refused to fight on knowing his ****** dream of being an elite fighter was just a dream.

A coward is not and never the answer to these brave guys ,Khan included but to 'bail' out like he did even surprised me .

He just couldn't take his beating like a man!
