  • Comments Thread For: Crawford To Amir Khan: You Didn't Quit? Tell The Truth!

Amir Khan insisted he could not go on after a low blow brought his WBO welterweight title challenge against Terence Crawford to a crashing halt. The fight was stopped in the sixth round at Madison Square Garden after the technical knockout, handing the American the right to retain the belt and raising a cacophony of boos for Khan.

I’m with Crawford all the way on this. Total loser, quitter and tried to mug Crawford off by a selfish act of denial.
        Complete wanker.
Two things will follow here, and I’m good with either,
The quitter “fights” kell brook and quits or gets ktfo OR the quitter quits! So it’s a happy ending for everyone.
Goodbye king of nothing you fackin wanker.
        Fack off.

Americans showing a real lack of class tonight. The "TKO" stoppage and the "quitting" talk have ruined this win for Terence Crawford. He dominated the fight from start to finish and had Amir Khan hurt several times per round. But this was all overshadowed by the horrendous officiating, and the classless antics of Crawford and the US media. Khan is a true warrior, and although shot, he's proven he's a warrior time and time again. He has fought the best time and again, and has never shied away from getting his glass chin smashed. He deserves a lot of credit for taking such a hard fight at this past-prime stage of his career. A shame the fat Yanks had to ruin what was looking like a very good night for their main man.

Just once I'd like to see a fighter take the five mins.

He quit. It was a low blow no doubt but he used it as a way out. They showed the replay at least a dozen times and while it was absolutely below the border it hit him in the thigh more than anything.

He was getting out boxed and beat up he had nothing for Bud, he and Virgil both knew. Virgil was looking to throw in the towel a round before the low blow even happened.

Idk if it was the Canelo fight, the layoff, or a combination of both but Khan looked the worst he's ever looked and there's no where but even further down from here. time to call it a day. Forget the Brook fight at this point
