Why wouldn't Russell fight Tugstsogt Nyambayar who is the WBC #1 contender? Martinez is a cherry pick.

Gary is one of the best

The talent each time he fights shows a complete fighter with speed and power and one of the best boxing IQ's in the game today even with a loss to a future Hall of Famer in Lomo, he's still top talent!

Mandatory hasn't been called yet? But his next fight will have to be either against King Tug or a unification bout. And GRJ can't wait a year to return if he wants to keep his belt.

This better be a two fight year for GRJ with him facing off against either LSC or King Tug later this year. It's one thing fighting Jo Jo Diaz as your lone fight for the year, but it's another thing fighting someone like Kiko Martinez.

I mentioned this before, but man has Kiko been with damn near the best 122-126 pounders of recent times. Respect to him.

This is a waste of time fight. Nyambayar is available and a much better opponent for Russell.

Martinez has been living off that win over Hasegawa for a LONNGGG time. Don't think I've ever seen him win another notable fight.

jesus christ, kiko was shot years ago, it was bad enough leo feasting on his remains, what 2-3 years ago? now Gary comes out of the woodwork to feast on his ghost.

                    complete garbage.
