They are the same listed height--5' 8"--but fight at different weights, Salka is LW normally, 135lbs, whereas Shields competes at MW, or SMW, so 168lbs. Providing they fight at the same weight, I'd go with Salka, simply because of the much, much stiffer competition that he has faced to get to where he is. And I think that holds true, no matter what catchweight is imposed. If they fight at their normal fighting weights, then I'm not so sure - I think then the extra 30lbs might make the difference for Shields

Rod salka. Thing is even someone like rod salka is a very talented boxer. I call fighters bums on here but the reality is people like salka are in the top few percent of boxers in all the world. Hed be far too good for shields.
