I don't think Usyk would be interested in the first place. Usyk most likely wants a couple of fights in the HW division before he takes on someone like AJ.

Yeah, he'd beat him the same, probably easier than he previously did.

I just think Usyk deserves a little more than to be rushed into his big heavyweight fight.

Why not offer Usyk the fight & make Hunter vs Takam instead?

Since these non-Hearn fighters are turning down the fight because they aren't in camp. Hearn has two heavyweights currently in camp. And Usyk is better than Hunter.

So why not make Usyk vs AJ?
Why would Usyk ever take it? He can be the WBO mandatory whenever he wants. He's starting with Takam for a reason, to get acclimated to the division.

Maybe because Usyk vs AJ is a potential huge fight that shouldn't be happening on short notice.

It should be it's own event. And unlike Hunter, Usyk has never fought at Heavyweight before so I don't like that fight right now.

Lol. AJ-Usyk is a superfight, not a fight to be shoehorned in at short notice because some fat Yank failed a PED test. "Why isn't Usyk the stand-in for Jarrell Miller doe???"

I think it's a fight they are trying to build that will sell well down the line.

I also think Usyk needs time to get used to the HW division before jumping in with one of the divisions top guys.

The guy who just unified CW is going to do his first fight at Heavyweight against Joshua on short notice in New York City?

Nah dude. Nah. Not even remotely a fight to consider let alone make.
