Anyone else just about done with all this?

I was going to post this in one of the Miller threads but despite that being the most recent example and probably what's prompting this, there's a hell of a lot more feeding into it than that, so I felt like I should make a new thread for this.

I've said that I've been fed up with boxing so many times before but I really do think I'm approaching my limit. I just can't take much more of the corruption and greed of the sanctioning bodies, the flagrant and staggering incompetence and crookedness of the officials, the greed, arrogance and petulance of the promoters and TV executives kiboshing every in-demand fight, the obnoxious personalities of not only the aforementioned promoters but also the fighters who self-aggrandise and make weak excuses for the glaring shortcomings in their careers, joke fights, mismatches and drugs scandals any more. It feels like there's about twenty disappointing or even outright disgraceful news items for every single halfway decent fight or bit of good news at the minute. The state of this sport is a state of despair. While it does look like most "big" sports at the minute are rotten, boxing is surely in a league of its own. I also know that things have been bad before (such as when the sport was literally run by the mob) but things still feel staggeringly bad right now.

Do you agree with me or do you just think I'm being a big baby (pun intended) about it, and things aren't actually any worse than they are usually? Do you think things will get better, stay the same, or even get worse? What do you think needs to be done to fix this sport's problems?

Boxing is in such a bad state that I'm considering abandoning it.

Boxing is in a really bad state, but not bad enough to make me thing about quitting.

This is pretty much normal for this sport, I don't see what the big deal is.

Everything is sunshine and rainbows in boxing at the minute!

I've always loved Boxing and have obsessed over it now for almost 20 years, but it's like being with an abusive partner.

I follow a lot of sports and they have their moments where its trash, not competitive ect I will always love boxing have done since I was 8 years old so I wouldn't stop watching all together but for the last couple of years its rare I stay up to watch in the early hours unless its for a big fight just too much BS and rival promotions now

between 2006-2012 I watched almost every big fight especially the stacked WW division

I've basically abandoned it. Only the odd fight resurges it for me. Ducking, cherrypicking and robberies are at the worst i've seen. The sport got plenty of attention via floyd and pacquiao, but the powers that be are using the moment to drain as much money out of the sport while it's hot without risking their fighters. Real sht show.

Haymon is the main culprit for the state of boxing as much as the floyd boy toys dont like to admit.

Yeah Haymon bringing boxing back to the mainstream has definitely ruined things for the hardcore fan, although probably has exposed it more to the casual.

I'll forgive him when he starts matching his welterweights together
