That's the point - outlawing guns does not mean people will not use them. It just means law-abiding people will not use them. The criminals still will. Look at the tragedy in Paris a few years ago.

Do you acknowledge that the resources there had no value to the native populations because in their primitive societies those resources weren't anything they used? They exchanged those resources which had no value to them for an improvement in living conditions/luxuries.

No disrespect man but we fought a literal war with your country over you guys trying to tell us what to do. So trying to tell us we shouldn't have guns, well that's your opinion.

And I think the record is quite clear that once a country disarms its populace, that populace becomes a lot less empowered. They suddenly can't say or do the things they were able to before. Your country is a great example of that - you have fans at games who are investigated by the police for possibly calling a player a 'black ****'. It's absurd.

I personally think that some people should not be allowed to obtain guns. But often times those same groups of people are still able to obtain them.

I have no issue with placing restrictions on certain people based on their behavior or history, but saying that outlawing guns will lead to no guns, it just isn't true. Again look at the tragedy in Paris a few years ago.

Also, the US borders Mexico and Canada, as opposed to the UK and Australia which are islands. Guns will always find a way in here from Mexico, in Mexico's current state anyway.

EDIT - also, when you look at, for example, the Parkland shooting. There is clear evidence that the FBI and Sheriff's department were derelict of duty in taking appropriate action against the young man who carried out that attack. Especially in today's social media age, there are probably clear signs that someone is going to try and carry out an attack like that. I would prefer our law enforcement agencies to do their job and take swift action against dangerous people rather than looking the other way and hoping nothing bad happens.
