Note it was Commey who said that after recovering from his hand injury, he wanted to take a mandatory before getting back to Loma. While Commey said he didn't want a 'soft option', he does really, and likely didn't count on Teo getting mandated.
So its all to do with what Commey said. Teo is second highest ranked in the IBF rankings behind a no-name Nakatani, so in a position for his handlers to put pressure on the IBF to give him a shot.
I suspect Commey will no longer want a pre-Loma mandatory if it has to be Teo, which is good for us as less waiting around for Commey/Loma to happen.Comment
