Performance of the year so far....?

For me there can only be one:

A great display of boxing... the fact that it shut up all the biased bigots, pompous know-nothings and the research-shy was just an added bonus.

      Nice pick.

Can't forget about Hopkins-Tarver, either. That was a great performance from Benard, moving up 15 pounds at 42 years old and DOMINATE Tarver when he was a 4-1 dog. So Hopkins gets an honorable mention.

Agreed, I was also impressed with Collazo even though he lost he left with his head held high!

I think even most Americans would admit it is Joe.

Here are my top 3 in order:

                1. Calzaghe def. Lacy
                2. Hopkins def. Tarver
                3. De La Hoya def. Mayorga

you must admit Lacy is a tough warrior to take that for 12 rounds what heart he showed...Joe's performance that night was easy the best display this year so far..

I do have to agree with Smashing. Lacy is a warrior to take a beating like that and even come out of the ring and admit he took a helluva beating..
