This is a shame - was looking forward to this fight! Late substitutes are always tricky too...

I think it’s going to be out of his hands.

What replacements can he really get though? I presume Ortiz is obvious contender - with Whyte as a back up. Can’t think of anyone else with a high enough profile?

The facts/dangers of protein shakes and the like is VERY true. I never said pro athletes know or don't know what they're taking. My comment was toward what average people don't understand about the complexity of training and using protein shakes and smoothies to optimize nutrition, which all athletes do. It's fairly easy to run afoul of the dozens of substances that are on various banned lists. Athletes have to be VERY careful and even then, mistakes and slip-ups happen. Few athletes could begin to really manage that, so they are at the mercy of their nutritional team (if they have one) and how diligent/competent they are. It's not easy ....

There is no "No" to that. That's reality.

Two options, (1) Go ahead with Miller, test him until the day of the fight. (2) Ortiz - If he is the sort of boxer that stays in camp.

I actually agree. Ortiz is a great replacement. Even though Ortiz is more polished than Fat baby it will be an easier fight for Joshua although for the first 3 rounds AJ may get countered for fun until Ortiz gas tank evaporates in the 4th round and it’s a wrap

Ortiz is a better fight than Miller imo, hopefully it happens.
