Talking about someone who is still fighting is silly.

ATG bum beater. He's nowhere in the realm of an ATG boxer. His resume is pure trash. He was an overrated hype job.

this is the truth. 3G is still fighting ...Steve Rolls. so its too early to judge if he is ATG or not for sure.

Similar to Vitali at HW. If he beats Canelo, probably is. His run at MW is historic regardless of the competition.
I think he did well taking into account he is Kazakh coming from Germany at the late stage of his career.

ATG? No. Hell, I'm astonished that this is even a question.

I don't have a problem with him getting into the HoF though.

No. Hes a hall of famer, the public and press had him beating canelo both times but ggg is a long way off all time great status in my opinion.

HoF for sure, ATG Middleweight? - maybe you could squeeze him into top 20 on longevity at the top level and dominance for the better part of a decade. ATG overall? Nah. However good you appear to be you need the right names in the W column and GGG hasn't really got squat.

Sad thing is I think he may have had the ability, but whether or not you feel it was his fault it was never really put to the test.

Sad because he could've fought BJS, Andrade, Canelo and Cotto at CW's, Ward at 168 (since he was willing to fight Froch and JCC Jr. at 168), Lara, Dervvenchenko, Brook at 157, etc. Instead...he fought Lemiuex, Vanes, Wade, Monroe Jr., etc.

Borat dug his own grave. He is a strong, solid MW, but sadly he is far from ATG status and is right on the edge for HOF. Needs another real win...not Kermit Cintron or something of that nature...
BJ you are entitled to your opinion and made a reasoned argument but Borat??? How the heck do you expect to be taken seriously. I don't get the constant name calling that people heap on Gennady. Apparently it makes some people feel manly when they name call another person who can't defend himself on the forum. It's just flat out childish.
