I'm a GGG fan and I'm disgusted with this choice. There HAD to be a better option out there.
Did they not even offer the fight to N'Dam? I bet N'dam would shut this guy out 12-0...

Honestly I don't even care for a Canelo fight In September. I'd rather see him vs Andrade or Saunders or Callum smith. When you put your whole career on hold for one fight over and over again, it gets tiresome. I get that he wants that money, I can't blame him for that but as a fan I just wanna see some new fights.

How long is a while? I just heard Charlo is fighting that other stiff and Canelo last fight fought a no hoper. Lomachenko just fought a guy who is absolutely 10 levels below him and somehow got a mandatory spot.

Boxing just blows. Say what you want about UFC and how Dana rips off those fighters but the guy makes every fight the fans want.

Those are guaranteed wins. Fielding was and is a crappy fighter. He froze in the ring and didn't have enough sense to smother Canelo with his superior size, his one and only asset. He was cherry picked because he was knocked out previously with a body shot in the first round and Canelo is a great body puncher. You are the guy who won't face up to the fact that Fielding was a huge cherry pick.
That fight was a mismatch and so is this one.

GGG didn't beat canelo and out of GGGs wins only Jacobs(which is questionable win) and maybe Lemieux and Murray are better wins then Fielding a world champ at 168. Stevens is not a better win stop it he was neat twice by journeymen before GGG. Rubio was beat by chabez Jr and half dozen others before GGG. The fact you cant produce 5 clear cut better wins is an indictment on GGG level of opponents. Fielding doesn't even crack Canelo's top 10 wins he was a short turnaround stay busy fight. And still he is way better then vanes who GGG fought last year and Rolls who he is fighting this year and 80% of GGG opponents. How many opponents has GGG faced that were universally top 10 ranked in the division the fight took place at and have held a world title? Here is a hint you can count them all one 1 hand. lol

Fielding was both. You cute trying to compare Fielding who was I believe #8 ranked by boxrec and world champ with only 1 loss to a elite fighter and most folks top 168lb fighter in the world. To a bum ranked #94 on boxrec and is pushing 40 and still a prospect like Rolls. You have no shame in your GGG dyck sucking and defending.

They did but when you get to the point in his career he's at, I'm guessing he doesn't care what the WBC asks him to do. He's about that $$$`at this point which is fine but wtf, stop making a mockery of the sport fighting a guy like this who has a zero percent chance to win.
