'Twas a pretty boring fight, with a VERY boring lead-in that went the distance.

Shields solved the Hammer jab after one round, and the next bunch were the same. She overwhelmed Hammer in the 8th but most viewers were probably in the kitchen getting a snack.

Women are supposed to be equal but two minute rounds? They sure go by FAST.

Women's boxing has had its moments, either for a hot look OR the action (Laila Ali, Christy Martin) but I find the ladies are a lot more interesting in MMA. (And more lewd positions for ground and pound.)

Put it this way, the fight was so dull, even Mauro wouldn't have been able to liven it up if he was there injecting a whole bunch of hilarious "Hammer and Shields" puns.

This is twice the audience PBC on FS1 got. People would rather watch women's boxing than some of these PBC cards.

Isn’t that supposed to be great? Especially for women’s boxing. Am sure those numbers beat some of the men’s showtime card this year. What number did the Tank Davis fight do? Harrison/Charlo etc

They promoted the hell out of it, spend so much money on All Access etc and have that terrible numbers?? Wow thats bad.. lower ratings than her last fight which was muss less signifircant, seems like people dont like Shields, her personality etc.

A little off subject, but I personally hate how fight start so late for us here in the east. I remember how main events would start around 8 or 10 back in the day for us but now they’re just catering to the West. I’m tired of waiting until midnight or 1 in the morning through crappy fights for a main event

Canelo and especially AJ have world wide viewers that Shields will never come close to getting. DAZN is in it's infancy at the moment so getting high viewing numbers in the US aren't really expected. But give it time to grow and that will all change. Whereas this is as good as it gets for Shields as there is nothing but complete garbage to fight in the future which will interest no one of importance. And that's not even including the money each of them get which is a huge difference, so i'm sure they're cool about viewing numbers.

There was some pretty steep competition Saturday night. DAZN, FoxSports1, and the UFC all had cards on. Not to mention the Houston Rockets vs Utah Jazz.

The numbers are good for a woman's fight, and a Shobox card, but lowered than expected.
