Right now Whyte is petitioning the WBC to gurantee him mando status after the Wilder Breazeale fight so it appears he is willing to continue to pursue it and wait (the mando would be ordered before a calendar year has passed). As far as Breazeale being mando, he's been that since Nov 2017 and accepted step money to allow Wilder Fury. The WBC was showing deference to Whyte in ordering the eliminator when they mandated Fury as Wilder's next opponent. Their rules allow for them to mandate rematches so Breazeale had no room to argue. The interim title label, was per the WBC, a carrot for Breazeale since they screwed him over by ordering the rematch, it was also a carrot to Whyte to accept the eliminator bout. When Fury welshed to take that ESPN deal, the WBC simply reset the clock to the conditions before Wilder Fury voluntary. The biggest prob Whyte had was he thought that because he was #1 contender that he was guaranteed the mando spot, which the WBC rules explicitly state the #1 contender is NOT mando. Poor management on Hearn's part because he kept saying it in the media incorrectly.

Whether it was Brezeale himself or the orders of Haymon I don't know, but Brezeale turned down the fight with Whyte way back for money he said wasn't to his liking. Hearn called it a substantial amount. But then after that and on short notice, the WBC called for a mandatory fight between him and Whyte that left Whyte without much time to train for it, so he denied the fight. That's when Molina came it with only weeks to prepare.

Going by how Haymon and the WBC work in order to protect certain fighters, this has all the signs of a stich up. The WBC did the same to Chisora when fighting Wilder for the mandatory spot that went to the loser of their fight in Malik Scott. After Wilder ducked Chisora on Twitter after shouting his mouth off about no one wanting to fight him, it seems the WBC and Haymon decided to protect the coward and manipulated their way through just like they have done the past 2 years. Of course with the help of his fans in people like you.

Usually they give the eliminator bout to the no.1 and no.2 guy, this time they gave it to No.4 and Molina a guy with 2 losses in his last 4 fights and only 1 win since his last loss. The win was also a MD in a six rounder against a guy with 35 losses want to argue this is more legit than Whytes claim?

Look at how the IBF positioned Pulev as mando by going down the rankings to find an opponent first with Whyte then Miller and finally Hughie that's how it should be done not just give it to whoever is PBC.

The final eliminator was suppose to be stiverne/Breazeale on the wilder/Ortiz undercard but once Ortiz tested positive and was pulled from card wilder instead took on his mando obligation that night which gave us wilder/stiverne2 and Breazeale who was contractually tied to a final eliminator fight took on Molina who was bumped up from his fight also on undercard... Just because Whyte been active his competition been crap outside of Parker which should of been a draw, he lost first Chisora fight and was losing on scorecards in second fight with him, just face it he call out guys and run from fights with his tail between his legs when the fighters say will fight him
