sorry i dont have an offiical press release from hbo saying they rejected mora but i did find this quote descrbiing moras standing at the time "The HBO crew led by Jim Lampley was hypercritical of Mora and his style and he was essentially embargoed from the network after that bout."British and Mexican boxing analysts thought Jacobs beat Golovkin. Those are two boxing knowledgeable countries. When you say "TV", what do you mean? The whole conglomerate of gazillion Mexican TV channels or a couple of commentators on a Mexican TV station commenting on the match? Even if they don't have a dog in the race, can it be that this is just their opinion? This sport is assessed on subjective criteria, you know and even the most respected commentator or boxing professionals may get it wrong. And even "wrong" is sometimes relative in closely contested, subjectively assessed matches. Personally, I don't believe Jacobs-GGG was such a close match that you can't be wrong here.
In other words, are you in such dire validation of your own opinion that you seek "authoritative" opinion that happens to match your own? Boxing fans should stop that nonsense. Usyk thought GGG won in the first fight with Canelo and lost in the second. Lennox Lewis thought GGG won in the second fight (can't remember what he said about the first one). Who is more of an authority for you here? Will opinions of Usyk and Ward outweigh opinions of Lewis and Jacobs? How do you measure the worth of an opinion in these circumstances? Any one of these guys is not knowledgeable when it comes to boxing?
P.S. And speaking of dog in the race...many Mexican former champions just can't seem to give GGG any props. I wonder if that's somehow connected to all this Canelo-GGG saga that goes back few years.
Which to me just goes to show that a Jacobs win is a valid opinion for such a close fight.Comment

So HBO accepted Proksa who Mora beat? And Adama and Ishida as well?sorry i dont have an offiical press release from hbo saying they rejected mora but i did find this quote descrbiing moras standing at the time "The HBO crew led by Jim Lampley was hypercritical of Mora and his style and he was essentially embargoed from the network after that bout."
But not Mora?
That's hard to believe without some proof.Comment

You mean that was the 1st time you've seen Punk G backpedal cuz Jacobs beat him. Nelo beat Punk G twice so now we have the 2 fighters that beat Punk G fighting each other.GGG had him backpedaling and losing 8-9 rounds. Jacobs also came in as a light heavy weight too. Let’s say he does somehow beat Canelo. Does that make him the man of the division? No. He just beat one of the best middleweights, but he’d still have to beat the remaining top guys convincingly to justify his claim.Comment

Your just made a valid point & don't even realize it cuz Punk G hasn't beat ANYONE better than Morayeah jacobs has a better resume than ggg because he has mora
how could ggg have faced mora on hbo when hbo rejected mora? mora also wouldnt fight ggg in monaco because the purse was so low. doing research is harder than talking out of your ass but it prevents you from looking like someone with no credibility who just makes up things.

Try watching the whole fight in slow motion. Jacobs & Nelo (twice) both beat Punk G.When you say "TV", what do you mean? Its not a "strategy" cuz he doesn't need Punk G. Punk G has not ever beat a solid opponent in his whole pro career. Punk G needs to move on along & fight Boo Boo or Jermall Charlo so if he isn't going to fight them (cuz he's a punk) then he should retire.Comment
