nope when Jon Jones finished Lyoto Machida, Shogun, Rampage, Vera all in the same year.
He had only been training MMA for 3 years. He talked about it himself.
He had no background in Jiujitsu for example, Yet he submitted BJJ blackbelts like Machida and Belfort who had dedicated decades of their lives to BJJ.
It's the athleticism gap.
he was never state wrestling champ in wrestling. His best attributes now is his striking.
He easily outstruck Shogun who spent decades doing muaythai. He knocked Shogun out standing.
Once again, athleticism.Last edited by HeadShots; 04-14-2019, 01:34 PM.

What about the athletes that are to small for basketball and football, from bantamweight to light heavyweight. Why aren't they dominating? In Europe most people in these weight catagories play football/soccer. In Europe most people focus on education not pro sport anyway

Boxing is the best & most difficult sport of them all.
Basketball player's put a ball through a hoop , boxer's put men in body bags.
With 365 year round VADA testing, put these ball player's in the ring & let's see how bigger , faster , stronger , explosive and athletic these pansies are then.
I'll give you an example of how boxer's are better athletes:
You put a top boxer in a basketball game , he'll barely break a sweat ; you put a top basketball player in a a sparring match for 5, 4 minute rounds , he'll collapse and be carried out on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on.Last edited by REYESdelBOXEO; 04-14-2019, 02:27 PM.

the white boy is a Gracie(family invented UFC), he started training BJJ and Vale Tudo since coming out of his mom's womb. He had 3 decades of the best fight training the world has ever seen.
Then he meets a hood negro who almost died from Staph.
athleticism cannot be taught.

It wouldn't mean anything. Athleticism only gets you so far in boxing. In sports like basketball and football, you can never truly learn how to play the game and have a 10 year career just because you're super athletic.
