Had Culcay as +800, he could've done more work but I thought he did enough to win. Devy was missing a lot, and didnt deserve to be that much of a favorite.

very good fight but it is bad for derevyachenko that he went in deep waters with average guy.

Jacobs schooled Dervenchenko? A Split Decision where fans had it 6-6? KD in 1st won it..

          That's not a schooling friend..

And you're suggesting Vanes was a "better opportunity" than S.D. or Andrade? This is a man whose fought five champion opponents - EVER - in his entire career. And that includes whether his opponents USED to be champion, were champions entering the fight, or ever went on to become champs. All that during an era with 4+ champs per weight class. AND ONE OF THOSE 5 CHAMPS WAS A WELTERWEIGHT LMFAOOOOO

          40 fights...5 champs...publicly passed up S.D. and Andrade for "a better opportunity"...embarrassing.

Canelo did not make Borat fight Vanes. Borat passed on S.D. and Andrade and refused to move off the date to fight better competition. WHY DID HE REFUSE TO MOVE? Because he still wanted that Canelo rematch money...Mr. I box for Legacy turned out to be Mr. Only Money Matters.

Lara has been adamant about fighting GGG anywhere or anytime.

BJS signed to fight Borat in the fall...perhaps that fight couldve happened sooner if Borat wasnt stuck on dragging a retired JMW who had never fought at MW, was 3-3 in his last 6, and was fighting on literally 2 weeks notice. Borat CHOSE THAT OPPONENT instead of all the legitimate available options. And you defend it. Pathetic

Not ignoring at all. It was Bo**** team that pulled out of a "done deal" to fine Canelo again...Borat COULD have fought BJS if he moved from May 5th AND Canelo in September. He was afraid losing to BJS would jeopardize the Canelo fight...so he chose another Cabby in a career of Cabbys..

GGG fans are thrilled that Derevyachenko didn't look great last night because to them it somehow excuses GGG ducking him.

You have to be very generous to Sergei D to give him 6 rounds of that fight.

And you're suggesting Vanes was a "better opportunity" than S.D. or Andrade? 40 fights...5 champs...publicly passed up S.D. and Andrade for "a better opportunity"...embarrassing.
Right. As if we're supposed to believe any of the 3 guys involved would be interested in that fight on short notice while dividing HBO's 1 million dollar budget for the fight. Sergei D already turned down Andrade for 250k after initially accepting the bout for 400k. You're suggesting he would have done 250k or less to fight GGG on short notice when he as the mandatory he didn't have to settle for chump change. He could have held his ground and waiting for a purse bid. And before you get started on how "HBO would have paid more for a better fight" don't forget that these guys were out of the sport before the year was over. Sergei D or Andrade wouldn't have moved the needle for a company with one foot out the door.

Vanes was a stay busy scrub. No one disputes that. But to suggest Andrade or Sergei D were options for May 5th is ****** and not based in reality.

Lara has been adamant about fighting GGG anywhere or anytime.
From the safety of the 154lb division while being content to fight bums in the almost 4 years between the Canelo and Hurd fights.
Not ignoring at all. It was Bo**** team that pulled out of a "done deal" to fine Canelo again...Borat COULD have fought BJS if he moved from May 5th AND Canelo in September.

Once again, absolute bull*****. Moving off the May 5th date to fight BJS a little later kills the Canelo rematch in September. It doesn't give Golden Boy enough time to promote the fight considering they were b1Tching about slow negotiations for the rematch possibly killing the fight because of that reason. And what if there is an accidental clash of heads that opens up a cut that makes the September fight impossible.
