Let’s Be 100% Trill. Mexican Brawlers would give Loma problems...

To be 100% honest, I thought the Crolla fight was this Saturday. Friday night for Loma? Just saw the replay now...

Anyhow, I agree with many Loma fans, he did what he had to do and took care of business. But I and everybody else knew Crolla had no chance, don’t even follow his fights tbh, and got schooled by Linares imo. But, I was rooting for Crolla as the major underdog... lol

Anyhow, I was listening to Bradley and Ward debate about letting his hands go. I agree 100% with what Bradley said, but then I had to recap all of Loma’s Matchmaking for guys who go balls out, and guess what, only Salido comes to mind. Then I thought, most of Loma’s opposition haven’t been Mexicans who can take him to the deep waters. Being 100% serious.

You can’t box Lomachenko unless you’re truly elite level and the proper size. Guys like Davis or Mikey who have power to hurt Loma would give him problems.

Anybody notice that Loma’s matchmaking is stalling on some Mexican champs to get old?

I agree to a point. A brawler without a big size and strength advantage a stout and an anything goes ref would not last long. In fact even if you could repeat the same circumstances of the Salido fight, I think the more experienced Loma would prevail, though not as easily as last night, obviously.

Actually I should retract my perspective. It’s hard for me visualize guys like Berchelt or Vargas at 135 now, could be interesting. I do find Vargas a tad bit skinny in the ring, the guy doesn’t hydrate much.. I don’t see Beltran...going down of course, and could perhaps be as rugid the way Ishe Smith took shots from Lara. Yeah maybe Beltran. Though Mikey Garcia could easily take Loma’s power, easily. I think even guys like Cano could rush Loma. Those would be some guys fights. Though there are some genuine threats for Loma at 140 imo. Guys like Gervonta Davis, in the lower weight got harder pop than Linares and is young and fresh.

            Mikey isn't a brawler.

There doesn't seem to be many good Mexican brawlers around his weight class at the moment.

Berchelt might qualify but he is the only one I can think of. Plus he boxes a little too and doesn't have the stereotypical "Mexican style."

              Maybe Francisco Vargas as well.

What about Loma north for Beltran’s strap?

The days of Barrera, Morales, and Marquez are gone.

Sadly I don't think there are any Mexicans to challenge Loma at Lightweight.

That's the best fight to be made.

                    Hoping Gervonta moves up asap.
