Ward was a great fighter but doesn't like to give credit where it's due a lot of the time.

We all know he got a gift against Kovalev in their first fight too. That man is not undefeated.

He retired because he was petrified of guys like Bivol too.

It definitely seems like that sometimes, but Ward was outspoken in the Fury v Wilder fight about how Fury was essentially robbed. Lots of backlash on Ward from Wilder, and probably other AA guys, for backing Fury.

I respect that Ward is consistent. He's always preferred slick boxers which most often happens to be black Americans, but Fury is definitely of that cloth.
