  • Can someone tell me, how can Crawford be one of the best WW, when never faced a good W.W.

Crawford haven't fought anyone of merit in a while, doesn't draw any attention unless Spence or Al Haymon name is involved in it. PBC is not going to help out their competition. If Crawford want to really test his merit, go over and fight any of the other WW on Fox or Showtime. Beat their a** then force the to come over to ESPN to see you..

PBC doesn't need a split promotion for a fight they don't even need and for a fighter who doesn't draw any attention.

However, one part of the quote makes me think this is just promotor talk for "Here is a statement to get you to watch my PPV event." It's the part that says IF Crawford wins... He wouldn't have Crawford fighting Khan if he didn't think he could win. He's also been around boxing long enough to know Crawford will beat Khan handily.

I'll have to see him make that phone call before I believe it.
In all fairness, Bob did have a history of cherrypicks gone wrong

Top Rank has zero interesting opponents for Crawford, including no potential unification fights against anyone.

Why would PBC want to deal with the headaches of trying to work something out with Arum, when the in house fights are bigger than the fight they can make with Arum, assuming Arum is even genuine about wanting to make the fight in good faith?
Making up excuses to protect Spence huh? Looks like Spence and his team aren’t the only ones afraid of Bud, his fans are terrified too, LMAO.

        • Arum will saturate the market then go for the biggest one. He did that with Manny

Whereas if Spence loses, PBC still has a ton left.
Just be honest, you know Spence can’t win.....got to protect your investment. It’s only smart business right?

There were 360k PPV buyers and 48k people in attendance who thought otherwise.

Crawford v. Khan has nothing that interests the public. Nothing at all. Crawford is a good dude. Whatever minor success the fight has will be due to that and nothing else.

wrong. spence vs pacquiao would easily out sell spence vs crawford. the public doesn't care about crawford. wait for those crawford vs khan numbers to come in.

"best" is subjective. sure, it's the fight HARDCORE boxing fans would prefer, but it's not the fight that would make the most money.
