Comments Thread For: Trainer: You Will See The Best Version of Canelo in Jacobs Fight

Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez feels like a new man after having faced Gennady Golovkin in back to back fights. From the inside of his team, his coach Eddy Reynoso confessed that he has noticed a certain evolution, not only physically and technically, but also mentally, which will carry forward on May 4th, when Canelo faces Daniel Jacobs in a three belt unification.

Say what you want about Canelo & his team, but rarely have they ever been disrespectful to opponents or acted like he was untouchable like so many other fighters. He has always seemed focused on improving rather than on believing that he was the finished article & the results are history sort of speak. It says a ton that even his detractors can't deny he challenges himself far more than his peers from a very young age,his loss to fmj made him 10x better imho.

Canelo right now is the perfect combination of youth and experience.

He's in his physical prime with the knowledge of a seasoned vet. And still learning.

I truly hope so. All he has to do is believe in himself, come and attempt to win and he could pull off the upset. He can't go in there with any doubts or second thoughts.

He has to be determined, steadfast and full of confidence with a positive mindset. I'm rooting for him. Chances are Golden Boy and Canelo Alvarez are overlooking and underestimating him which all works to his advantage.

Except he was rightfully absolved because it was PROVEN that the only way a fighter can avoid clen in mexico is to not eat ANY meat even from finest restaurants. Its VADAs job to test fighters to make sure they don't cheat, its complete bs to not expressly ban them from eating meat but then call them a cheat when they pop dirty with a few molecule amount of a substance that has been proven to not provide ped benefits & is in the majority of meat.

Its esp. a non ped at a few molecule amount that was found in the middle of the same vada testing canelos been a pioneer in demanding 4 every fight. All im saying is I think hes earned the benefit of the doubt when you weigh everything including his demand 4 vada before other ppv fighters did
