Teo has the goods and could develop into an ATG if he's given the right advice and training, and is matched properly - he doesn't need to be slow-rolled, just developed at the right pace (like Canelo was).
I don't buy that Teo is ready for Loma as it would be so far from anything he's experienced so far. To date he's always been able to do whatever he wanted in the ring and at his own pace. Loma would dictate the pace early, and it would be a faster pace than Teo's ever had to operate at, and he wouldn't have the control to slow things down like he normally does.
How would Teo handle that pressure for 12 rounds given he's never even had 1 round of that pressure in his career to date ? He'd break after 6. Imagining that Teo could control the pace of the fight with power assumes he could hit the target at will, but last I looked Compubox had Loma with the best defence in the sport (haven't seen an update for a while though) - Teo's opposition to date have all been relatively static and he could show off with flashy shots where the target didn't have the skills to anticipate it or get out of the way. Imagining that Loma would be equally complicit in standing there and allowing himself to get hit is fantasy.
Meantime Teo's offence has pretty much been his defence to date - try hitting him and you get clubbed by a power shot. He would suddenly be in a position where he needed to combine elite defensive skills with elite countering (think Canelo), something else he's never had to do yet.
Let's give Teo a break. I like his attitude of 'give it to me now', but he needs protecting from himself right now - he'll be ready in a couple of years - build him up a bit first.
