He's a.good prospect but I rewatched his 7 rounds Vs Magdaleno, I'm not that impressed, he's still a prospect.

Magdaleno is a midget ranked 70 on boxrec, he was taking some dumb punches and he was throwing all the kitchen at him, yet it took him 7 rounds to stop a journeyman but he's supposed to ko Loma?

Terry Flanagan stopped Magdaleno in 2...
Teo has the goods and could develop into an ATG if he's given the right advice and training, and is matched properly - he doesn't need to be slow-rolled, just developed at the right pace (like Canelo was).

I don't buy that Teo is ready for Loma as it would be so far from anything he's experienced so far. To date he's always been able to do whatever he wanted in the ring and at his own pace. Loma would dictate the pace early, and it would be a faster pace than Teo's ever had to operate at, and he wouldn't have the control to slow things down like he normally does.

How would Teo handle that pressure for 12 rounds given he's never even had 1 round of that pressure in his career to date ? He'd break after 6. Imagining that Teo could control the pace of the fight with power assumes he could hit the target at will, but last I looked Compubox had Loma with the best defence in the sport (haven't seen an update for a while though) - Teo's opposition to date have all been relatively static and he could show off with flashy shots where the target didn't have the skills to anticipate it or get out of the way. Imagining that Loma would be equally complicit in standing there and allowing himself to get hit is fantasy.

Meantime Teo's offence has pretty much been his defence to date - try hitting him and you get clubbed by a power shot. He would suddenly be in a position where he needed to combine elite defensive skills with elite countering (think Canelo), something else he's never had to do yet.

Let's give Teo a break. I like his attitude of 'give it to me now', but he needs protecting from himself right now - he'll be ready in a couple of years - build him up a bit first.

Yeah I don't think age has taken anything out of Loma yet (31), but I think that shoulder has.

What's for sure is that Loma didn't fight at his usual pace against Pedraza - pretty much the only reason Pedraza went 12, and how much Loma slowed it down for the shoulder is an unknown, as is his confidence in the shoulder now he knows it can go 12.

Just hope it doesn't get injured again v Crolla or any time soon as that would be pretty much the end for Loma (unless he 'does a Martinez' and tries to pretend he can carry on like before the injury).

This is the bull**** that folks always let slide, on here and other places.

Lomachenko sells a bunch of woof tickets, because he and his management know that they don't call their shot, and Arum calls the shot that he always intended (while getting his boxing media folks to push the "Lomachenko is ready to fight Davis for free" nonsense)

As gifted as Lomachenko is, he leaves the same openings consistently.

Arum doesn't have anywhere near the confidence than you do, and his words corroborate that

Teo is too hittable IMO, let's see him Vs a commey or a Pedraza first, it would very competitive IMO

With Loma I don't think so, he's still too heavy on his feet and face first, I can see Loma peppering him all night with his left.

Teo is a heavy hitter but not that much one punch power except against dude ranked out of the top 100 of the division...

Davis is a better, more dangerous fight at this point.
