Lol talk about reaching. Everyone had the game on and didn’t change the channel during halftime.
Had nothing to do with Wilder. 90% of those viewers still couldn’t pick Wilder out of a lineup the next day.

I am probably about as neutral on Mayweather as anyone. I think he was a great talent, but I do think in his Money May days he was definitely taking the easy route. And I haven't seen all of his fights, but I can't think of a decision of his that I disagree with, although a lot of the scorecards he got were pretty significantly out of whack imo.

I agree that the younger guys trying to follow his model and keep that 0 has really been bad for the sport and for the fans. Just sucks that we don't really get the big fights when we want, but hopefully things will change with that and maybe a service like DAZN will be part of that.
I was introduced to Boxing in the early 1980's by My Father and in the late 1980's He took me to my 1st World Title Fight.......I guess I got spoiled with the amount of quality fights that I saw and now I can see through the bull$#!

Man the only joke is your attempt at writing on here. It's embarrassing to read. God Bless, read a fuc.king book.

Yeah Tyson, that was like 30 years ago. Holyfield was only anything thanks to Tyson. Just a different ball game these days anyway.

And Tyson was an 18 year old kid and phenom when he was coming up. Wilder should be able to get some of the same attention Tyson was getting if the game was still the same, but it isn't. Spence is almost 30 and Wilder almost 34 too. They need to make it happen yesterday.

If anyone is banking on them becoming household names and PPV stars, at the expense of them going with a streaming service like DAZN, I think it can cost them a lot of money. We will see.

I'm not sure they get 20M viewers over the course of the entire tournament.

What's the record viewership for one day where an interview would be aired? 2M maybe?

                Good try tho...
Lol yea. I just like goofing on my UK brothers over the fact darts is even a thing with a following over there.

Randomly is there like a doc or something about how darts became such a thing over there. Kinda reminds me of how bowling was a thing on TV in the US back when I was a kid.

Its part of the UK drinking culture. Darts, and snooker are pub sports. If you see footage of these "sports" from the 70s and 80s theres tables full of drinks, drunk as ****.

I get why its a thing people do. But like bowling in the US back in the day, that would often be on before network TV fights, I don't really grasp its popularity as a TV viewing thing.

That's obviously true and I hope the TS didn't intend for that to be the case. I think the point of the thread is to highlight how much exposure Wilder received and free promotion.
