It's impossible to compare Loma and Teofimo because Teofimo is beating professionals at age 21, and Loma was not even a pro until he was 25. I'll wait to see where Teofimo is when he's 25, and I'll get back at you! At present, Teofimo's difficulty making weight is not because he's lazy and out of shape! It's because his body is maturing, because again, he's only 21! If Loma doesn't feel the young man is worthy, that's on him! I don't see a better fight in the near future! Teofimo is different, which is why his name keeps coming up with Loma's, and again, he's only 21!

who are these pros worth mentioning? lopez is green as hell he loses easily and loma would get no credit you must know this right? lopez is doing his job of selling himself he's not serious if he was he wouldn't be putting up an 8 month time limit.

Teofimo I don't want to be harsh, but it looks like you're already making excuses for why the fight can't happen. "I will be at 140 next year" "I'm giving Lomachenko ultimatums"...that fight only happens THIS year if you can grab a belt in 2019. Lomachenko is not going to decline fights with Champions for his goal to become Undisputed in order to fight you, a prospect with a big mouth but no belt. Champions first, so grab a belt if you really want it or stay at 135 for another year.

I remember Mikey waiting and wanting a Loma fight before he moved up in weight to fight Spence. Then he realized Loma/Top Rank wasn’t serious about affording him the opportunity so he moved up to fight Spence. As soon as he moved up to fight Spence Loma and Bob started sounding off saying they’d fight Mikey next.

So I guess we can expect Loma to “inadvertently” miss another timeline, then as soon as Lopez leaves the division in 2020 Loma will say “why’d he leave when I was just about to fight him next” ?

It was clear Lopez couldn't go beyond 2019 from the interview, ideal being September latest. Beyond that, he was like, "if I really have to wait, I will, till January 2020." Why not get him next?
