Okay, I'm just saying that the commission said they were illegal once they checked them out thoroughly. That's ultimately what mattered. Then they approved the 2nd pair of MXs. And Ellerbe confirmed that version of events. No, I don't think that his team was trying to cheat, or that Everlast would put their reputation in danger for one fighter. Either way Floyd ended up paying 1.5 or 2 million for Maidana to use the Powerlock gloves.
