Why wouldn't he clinch the entire second fight? Maidana was holding and hitting the entire first fight. He was also rabbit punching the entire fight, and gave him numerous low blows and karate chops, and there was even a muo thai knee and an american football tackle, all of which went unpunished.

Who defaq in their right mind would not clinch someone who fights dirty like that?

The gloves were in FACT approved by the commission!! The gloves were not illegal in any way and fighters still fight in these gloves!! may weather was playing a mind game to disrupt the camp before the fight.
