    Good stuff, Juicy.
Nigelito wished he looked like Mike, I wish I looked like him.
We can't always get what we want.

Nigelito's dreadlocks could of had Michael's eye out.

Juice, did you see this week's Boxing News? I put a thread up but the server crashed about it - Eubank admitted he lost the fight with Dan Schsomethingorother, can'tbebotheredtolookitup.

He said he only "won" because of "politics".

Well, yeah, that's pretty obvious. This is old news.

The Puerto Rican judges always favored Eubank because Eubank's first manager was a Puerto Rican, Adonis Torres, and and his first trainer, Andy Martinez, was too. We're talking when Eubank was 16, until October 1987 when Adonis Torres died and Eubank, having already had two fights fall through at the Felt Forum that year, and a fight at the Atlantis Hotel fall through because of Adonis Torres' death, decided to look at moving back down to the UK permanently and continue his career over here. But yeah, the Puerto Rican judges always seemed to favor Eubank (in fights he won close but clearly, they'd give him even wider points margins and stuff).

I actually thought Eubank won the fight with Schommer though, as did Colin Hart and a few others, because he was the one always forcing the fight. But Eubank was always a believer that quality over quantity should decide fights, so you could tell he thought he lost it. But I thought he won it, he found his range in the last third of the fight and was landing his fair share of hard right hands. Schommer just sat back, whole fight.

But is it "old news" that Eubank himself admits he thought he lost?

Yeah, you could tell he thought Schommer should of got the decision. If he was judging, he'd of given it to Schommer.

                  But Eubank won it, IMO.

Eubank's story is one of the most interesting of them all.
With the whole post-Watson stuff and how he always fought on reserve. I bet some of his fans were scared sometimes of what would happen if he didn't want to hold back.
