it is not that easy. "fame" is something that requires investment and time. networks and promoters take on blue chip fighters and take on a lot of risk to make them into stars.
and not all fighters with equal ability have an equal shot shot at it. promoters and networks look for fighters with a built in fanbase. mexicans, americans, increasingly british fighters who fight at home, guys who speak english, etc. all that stuff matters. it's not all about winning fights. that's the backbone of all of it [and being entertaining,] but there's an active involvement of a lot of moving parts that make up the investment that is also necessary for making stars in boxing.
