Why would a 6'7" guy have the hardest punch "P4P"?

He seems to have pretty average/normal power for his size.

Michael Grant was not a huge puncher for his size and he stood 6'7 inches tall also.

How many top prospects do you know who reside in the state of Alabama? He couldn't help that his fights weren't televised or didn't get the promotional push he needed to fight other prospects and was from a region of the country where there were not a lot of top boxers.

We can say the same thing about the Klitschko boys. They only fought those opponents who were available to them at the time in one of the weakest heavyweight eras ever. They couldn't help it and neither could Deontay Wilder.
Only children say "haters". I don't know Wilder for the low quality of his resume, but neither do I praise him for it.

Wilder is like 210 pounds and puts people to sleep with one punch. The leverage he gets on his shots is something that guys with more power than him can't get. Plus Wilder is very athletic and has speed.

I would say he is the most devastating knockout artist, but there are people whp hit harder if they were able to put that much power into their shots and be accurate and land. Wilder is just a freak of nature.

No. He’s not done anything to earn that mantle. This is just fan talk from people who get carried away with what they see in the present. He’s got a great right hand no doubt, but he needs to knockout better, more durable competition to be in talks about hardest puncher.

It’s a similar effect people have when a guy is on a winning streak and they say he’s the boogeyman and unbeatable etc.
Then that fighter loses or looks beatable and fans make him the worst boxer of all time. Look at Golovkin, unbeatable for years, then started showing signs he could be beaten, and then look what happened and how they speak about him. “Overated power, slow etc”
In fact they talk about how he’s got one of the best chins of all time right now because he’s yet to be hurt or hit the deck. I promise you if he gets hurt later down the track, all of that will change and be forgotten.
People need to start rating fighters once their careers are over, otherwise the glitz and glamour of “now” will cloud their judgment

Theres no proof he hits any harder than joshua. Its just been taken as gospel that he does even though joshuas bombing out better opposition.

Oh dear. The Wilder fans are like punch drunk hillbillies howling at the moon, full of moonshine, during a full moon, on crystal meth.

He's not even the hardest hitter currently at HW.

His power is hyped. His record is padded and hyped. He is a phoney.

No. Naseem is not the hardest PFP puncher either. He never hurt Barrera who Pacquiao knocked out. I am guessing you are from England to rate Naseem so highly. Just a guess. On a PFP basis lots of boxers hit harder than Wilder. A 220 pound GGG, Trinidad or Inoue would hit harder as would many others too numerous to name. Wilder is a very hard puncher but boxing history is full of punchers who hit harder PFP than him and who beat much stronger opposition than he has. His best KO was over 39 year old Ortiz.

Deontay WIlder is the hardest puncher ever P4P.

His KO power is similarly damaging as Julian Jackson. he's knocking out men with one punch but the differentiating facto is that those men outweigh him by 20+ lbs regularly.
