That's about the dumbest comment I've seen in a long time. That will be the excuse but the belt that Jacobs has mandates that he only gain 10lbs by 8am the day of the fight. So please take that bull**** somewhere else.
Last after the 8 am weigh-in he can gain as much as he wants till fight time at around 11pm more then 12 hours later.
That is just a excuse. Both fighters have the same weigh-in rules. No advantage for either.

      MORE, bollocks..... I might add
actually the weight numbers I listed for Canelo in his fights vs trout and Lara were 100% accurate. He was bigger than both of them. It's no secret that he was also physically bigger than Cotto, Smith and Lopez. Lopez may have fattened up to face Canelo but by no means was he the bigger man. Your pathetic argument to pretend that Canelo didn't have a big size advantage over a guy who never fought at jmw and was fighting at 140 just the yr before shows your desperation to give Canelo more credit than he deserves. Similar to what the judges do whenever he fights.

You really think so? It's only a 7 lbs difference. Also, keep in mind that Daniel Jacobs is the natural larger and longer man who stands closer to 6 ft tall. So understandably he'll weigh a little more than the 5'9 inch tall Canelo Alvarez.

The main reason the IBF stopped mandating same day weigh ins for unification fights was in response to Jacobs using it to screw GGG (which he took a lot of heat for), but now people are somehow trying to portray him as the victim because it's in play for this one? Never mind that Jacobs had to make the same limit in his last fight vs Derevyanchenko and he claimed he also could have done so against GGG but made the strategic decision not to. If Canelo and Jacobs' weights had been reversed people would be claiming Canelo was at an unfair advantage but even when he's the smaller man people look for an excuse to ***** and moan.

The Jacobs that is gonna fight Canelo is the same one that fought Derevo

U ask me if it's fair that GB put that clause on the contract? I don't think it's fair but the A-side always does this kind of things and right now Alvarez is the biggest draw in the sport so I don't see why so many people are shocked this is happening.

The same clowns crying about canelo rehydrating claim" ggg is a tiny mw too small 4 smw"(gggs own words),or that "lomas a natural 126 lber despite being almost canelos height/campaigning at 132 his entire olympic career or despite him clearly being the size of most 135 lbers hes campaigning at. People who use rehydration amounts to say Canelo was supposedly weight bullying opponents who naturally are bigger than him is a pathetic excuse to discredit him & a fallacy.

I remember countless clowns claiming ggg was smaller than canelo,or that he supposedly only rehydrates 10 lbs which is bs considering he weighed 169.5 the morning weigh in 4 jacobs,& that was because he had to & complained about it. ALL fighters gain about 15-20 lbs after weigh in,its meaningless & just a way 4 fanbois to discredit who they don't like
Weight is important. Jacobs is a big Middleweight and coming in light is going to affect his performance. Canelo and his team know this. That is why they put the rehydration clause in the contract. His team claims it isn't fair to Canelo but all they are doing is shifting the advantage to their fighter. Weight classes are defined by weight not primarily by height and reach as you claim . That's absurd. As soon as Canelo got a chance to play the weight game to his advantage he jumped on it. He couldn't manipulate Golovkin so he's working his magic on Jacobs.

It was a special provision in Canelo’s contract with Jacobs, that I did not know. I gotcha

I don't think Jacobs is good enough that he could seperate himself from Canelo as much as he'd need to in order to get a decision.
