Unfortunately men usually like female sports for the prurient interests. Shields is an unattractive women, she's a serious ***** and she simply is not plowing everyone down with ease. But this fight is garnering some attention because she is finally fighting someone with skills, plus the opponent is white and fairly hot. It's the truth. Race and sex will sell. If Shield's loses, it will be tough road back. if she wins, just an ugly black chick living to fight another day. No super stardom in the future. But good paydays can be had if she can keep winning. This isn't true. Shields was one of the best female amateur boxers ever. This doesn't have anything to do with her being American. 2x olympic gold medalist and a 2x world amateur champion at a young age too.
